Sobering statistics

If you have coeliac, but continue to eat gluten (obviously, regardless of whether you're diagnosed or not), you are 40 to 100 times more likely to develop stomach cancer than the general population.

Even if you're diagnosed and following a GF diet, you're still likely to have high percentages of other conditions:

Anemia (3-6% of coeliacs have it)
Migraine Headaches (affects 4% of coeliacs)
Osteoporosis (5%)
Dermatitis (5%)
Pancreatic & Thyroid Disorders (5-14%)
Diabetes-Type 1 (12%)
Arthritis (20%)
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
(20%)
Cows Milk Intolerance (24%)
Obesity (30-40%)
Cancer—Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (39%)
Ataxia (40%)
Liver Disease (42%)
Nerve Disease and/or Peripheral Neuropathy (51%)
Osteomalacia/Low Bone Density (70%)
